Ivanka Kostial Sr. Design Lead, MedNet Technologies »

I have been very fortunate to work with Toby on the MedNet Design & Development team for about three years. His recent decision to relocate to California was sad news for myself and my team.

As Toby joined our department, his in-depth technical proficiency was immediately noticed by development staff and management alike. His exceptional aptitude and creative problem solving skills, paired with a mature and professional attitude quickly earned him a key role in some of the company’s largest and most complex projects. Attention to detail and the ability to promptly deliver results with pixel-perfect precision made him an invaluable resource for the department. His contribution has helped our team deliver original, effective solutions and build extremely successful, long-term relationships with some of the company’s key clients.

Toby takes pride in what he does, which is directly evident in his performance. He has consistently delivered superior work on aggressive deadlines, while constantly keeping up to date with the latest industry trends. In addition to successfully handling a full workload, he also supervises a team of junior front-end developers and coordinates a variety of projects. On a few occasions, Toby volunteered and went above and beyond to help our team meet crucial deadlines. His leadership skills and positive attitude have inspired others and contributed to a happier and more productive environment.

Toby will be fondly missed by everyone in my group. His unique skill set and radiant personality have set a challenging benchmark for his successor.

I am certain Toby will be very successful in anything he chooses to do and sincerely wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Here at MedNet, we have various departments that specialize in different areas of web development. When Toby came to MedNet he was hired to make simple changes to websites, in the customer service department, as an entry-level web designer. It wasn’t more than a couple of months before the other managers and I saw just how good he was. What set him apart, was his speed and diligence in coding HTML and CSS; He was also able to implement Javascript and Php to create interactive, dynamic websites. Once we saw how proficient he was in those areas of web design, we moved him into a structure role, where the main structures on new sites were coded. Even though he was still working with HTML and CSS, this role was far more advanced. This role is a higher position where Toby would have to work with other departments and senior designers to create front-end code standards for the company. Since Toby is sharp in his craft and has a “go-getter” attitude, he was able to stay achieve a senior role as a web designer for MedNet.

Some of the achievements and responsibilities that Toby had were:

  • Depended on by fellow designers for complicated site structures and changes
  • Troubleshooting website problems
  • Working with high profile clients
  • R&D front end design features and company code standards
  • WordPress theme development and configuration
  • Training of other web designers
  • Supervising other team members in his department

I can’t say enough about Toby’s personality. He is a team player and is very easy to work with. He is someone who can take direction from others, but is also great at giving direction; a quality I feel is hard to find.

As you can see, I’ve been very pleased with Toby’s work and efforts. If you’re looking for an experienced front-end web designer with speed, accuracy and innovation, Toby is a perfect candidate.
